How to start your own website (Simple, Easy way 2019)
Deciding to launch your business on cloud is a professional solution to reach more customers around the world, starting to have a personal online space whether personal or for business is always a good idea.
Today I will share you some of my knowledge regarding the creation of a website.
Step 1: First and foremost you need to have a domain name, which is how you would like your website to be called when they browse in their internet browser like: Firefox, Google Chrome. The example of a domain name is: www.google.com, www.helloshop.com.
Step 2: Decide the extension of it, whether you want to name your site: .com, .net, .org or something else. Then you need to go to buy the name, just like a sim card of your number, domain name just the name of where your site is located and how people is going to type in their browser in order to locate you. You need to purchase a domain name for your site, buy going to some popular sites like godaddy.com, namecheap, freenom or somewhere else where you can register a domain name. Note: You can only buy it or another word is only rent it not buy for entire life.
Step 3: After buying your dreamed domain name is not mean the end of the game, you can only have the name but nothing else, you need to find a computer and internet to launch it. But doing so can cost a lot and rarely does everyone do that, only big giant companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft do. Why? Because you need to open your computer and run it 24/24h and you have to handle all the cost to maintenance it.
Step 3A: So the best way is to find a company online who is specialized in launching it 24/24h, there are tons of companies out there to help you. We called it web hosting company. You need to pay them monthly to be able to transfer or host your website on their computers.
Step 4: Insert your domain name into your web hosting provider, the process vary from company to company. But the method is by going to your cPanel a.k.a control panel (you can get it after you agree and pay your hosting web provider either you go for a free plan or a paid one), log in to your account, password. Head over and look for addon domain, then provide your domain name. Wait till the process complete.
Step 5: Now your site is ready, the essential steps and points are to choose and decide which platform you want to go for. Most people will choose wordpress to run their site on, because it’s easy to use for news writing, blog posts, e-commerce, etc.
But some prefer other technologies like Jomla, Prestashop for their standalone e-commerce tech. But for the beginner, I recommend choosing wordpress to start. It’s free to use, open source means you can modify almost anything in it without worrying about license.
Step 6: Install wordpress, by going to wordpress.org to download the zip file and paste it on your dataroot folder. (A bit complicated) Try skip to step 7 for easier way.
Step 7: Many web hosting platforms provide script installer which is very easy for you to install wordpress. By going to your cPanel account, find the word softaculous installer, then search for wordpress, then install it. Note down your password there. That’s easy. After successful installed the wordpress, you can close your cPanel account, and go to your website, and add wp-login to enter your admin account and password. And you can see your site runs like Magic. You can do a lot of modifications inside it.
That’s it, setting up a website is that easy like that.
